Davison Young Musicians Foundation

Raising funds for young musicians

Recognising and rewarding outstanding young musical talent through independently adjudicated competitions

Talent can emerge anywhere. Opportunity doesn’t.

Tuition, instruments, accompanists, travel and auditions place real demands on young musicians and their families. DYMF was set up to make a practical contribution.

We find promising musicians and give them awards, recognition and, wherever we can, a stage: a recital or concert in front of a new audience, and connections that can lead to the next step in a musical life.

“Identifying talent is only the beginning. Young musicians also need opportunities to be heard, encouragement at important stages of their development, and the confidence that comes from having their work recognised.”
